  • Comment: The previous reviewer gave you a bad advice. You can use interviews as a source for basic biographical details. But if the claims seem exaggerated, or the claim involves third parties, you should use an independent source. Ca talk to me! 07:23, 11 December 2023 (UTC)

Rashidi Alema Anzor, is a Congolese actor, musician and songwriter[1]. He is best known for the roles in the flms Baby Boy of House, Ima and Lucky.[2][3][4]

After playing supporting roles in several feature films, including Beast and Ima, he got his first major role in the dramatic comedy Baby Boy of House that reveals him to the general public. In 2022, his role as a traveler "Clover tomas" Tozoom made him a recognized African actor.[3][5]

Life and career

Rashidi Alema Anzor was born on 4 April 2001 in Kisangani[6], capital of the Orientale Province in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, son of Amida Shabani and Fiston Alema. His parents divorced when he was only seven years old, an event that led his mother to go live in North Kivu in the city of Goma with his three sisters[2][7][5]. Anzor continued his primary studies while taking an interest in cinema. Having been raised in a Muslim family, during his childhood he was very shy. He was initiated by his friends and started singing on the Afro-pop street, which became his favorite style.[8][9]

In 2014, Anzor Alem went on vacation to a village where he came back strongly inspired with traditional music. From there, he begins to be drawn to the drum.[3]

He participated in 2022 at the age of 21 in his first cinematographic experience, in the shooting of a film by Nils Tavernier.

In 2023, he started writing two self-produced titles, broadcast on listening platforms. After the release of the titles "Leloyo", "LOL" and "Bella" followed one another in 2023, in the context of Afrobeat.[8][5]
