Ammar Al Saffar is an Iraqi-American actor, director, and writer.
Life
Al Safari was born and raised in Baghdad, Iraq. He graduated from Al-Nahrain University,[1] College of Law. At age 23, he moved to Utah in the United States.
He began writing as a young age when his grandfather, Rifaat Marhoon Al-Saffar[2], asked Ammar to edit his book. In 2019, he wrote the play To The NoWhere Stan. In 2022, he self-published a memoir, The American Kitchen: The Journey of An Immigrant,[3] and in 2024 he published the novel The 7th Amendment.[4]
Al Saffar started acting at a young age, and after moving to the U.S. he starting taking acting classes at Salt Lake Community College.
Al Saffar is queer and a Muslim.
