Dowlatabad (Persian: دولت آباد, also romanized as Dowlatābād, Dowlatâbâd, and Daulatābad)[3] is a city in the Central District of Zaveh County, Razavi Khorasan province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[4] It is also the administrative center for Safaiyeh Rural District.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 8,740 in 2,334 households, when it was in the former Jolgeh Zaveh District of Torbat-e Heydarieh County.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 9,606 people in 2,721 households,[7] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Zaveh County.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 9,329 people in 2,939 households.[2]
