Dhana is a census town in Sagar district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. Dhana town loceted 20 km away from Sagar city.
Geography
Dhana is loceted on 23°44′N 78°52′E / 23.74°N 78.86°E / 23.74; 78.86.It has an average elevation of 508 metres (1669 feet).[1]
History
Dhana was a ruling chieftaincy of Hazari Pathak Saryupareen Brahmin Pathak rulers of Dhana came from prayagraj as rajpurohit of Ahirs of Dhana. After Ahirs decline under Marathas these Pathak's were made rulers with responsibility of one thousand army which gave them the Title of Hazari and sixteen villages. They fought from the side of peshwas
Hazari (Pathak) rulers also built a strong fortress for their security in Dhana
Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census,[2] Dhana had a population of 10,295. Males constitute 61% of the population and females 39%.[3]
Dhana Airstrip
The Dhana Airstrip is located in Dhana, in Sagar District, Madhya Pradesh and is near to Sagar, Damoh, Khurai and Bina. Dhana airport is the home base of Chimes Aviation Academy (CAA).[4]
