"Dengan Menyebut Nama Allah" (English: "In the Name of Allah" or "Saying the Name of Allah") is a song recorded, composed and arranged by Indonesian musician, songwriter and record producer Dwiki Dharmawan. Taken from the former's first special album of the same name, the song was written and co-produced by Ags. Arya Dipayana,[a] and features vocals performed by Novia Kolopaking. It is primarily an Islamic-influenced pop song with keyboards and "choir"-like refrain, while the lyrics hint towards themselves do the better ways.

Considered as Kolopaking's signature song, "Dengan Menyebut Nama Allah" boosted Dharmawan's popularity and was covered by many artists, in their different renditions, including singer Ita Purnamasari and the band Gigi. An accompanying Islamic-themed music video for the song was later uploaded onto Musica Studios' YouTube channel in 2013, 21 years after its release. The song peaked at number seven on Aneka Top 13 Hits Indonesia in the chart issue dated 18 May 1993.

Composition

"Dengan Menyebut Nama Allah" was written by Ags. Arya Dipayana, while composition, arrangement and co-production was handled by Dwiki Dharmawan. Musically, it is an Islamic song featuring dominant keyboards, "choir"-like refrain and "aesthetic" key modulation, with "meaningfully simplistic" lyrics vividly unravel themselves to do better things with better ways.[1] Kolopaking's vocal range spans from G3 to B4.
