Darnagul (Azerbaijani: Dərnəgül) is a Baku Metro station. It was opened on 29 June 2011.[1] The station is located under Suleiman Sani Akhundov Street in the 7th microdistrict of Baku. It is the second single-line station in Baku.[2] The station project was created back in the 1980s, but due to geopolitical events in the USSR and the termination of funding, the project was frozen in 1993.

In 2006, work on the construction of the station was resumed by order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.[3]

The total length of the launch complex is 1,548 meters, and the total length of the station complex is 302 meters. Information monitors are installed above the station entrances. There are two underground passages and four entrances and exits to enter the station. The SOS alarm system was launched for the first time in the Baku metro. For the first time, a video surveillance system was used here, which completely covers tunnels and stations and is transmitted directly to the server center.[4]
