Dareyn (Persian: درين)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Dareyn Rural District (formerly Surk Rural District) of Bafruiyeh District of Meybod County, Yazd province, Iran.[4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 127 in 36 households, when it was in Bafruiyeh Rural District of the Central District.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 169 people in 51 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 150 people in 45 households,[2] by which time the rural district had been separated from the district in the establishment of Bafruiyeh District.[7]
