Chalanchulan (Persian: چالانچولان), also Romanized as Chālānchūlān and Chālān Chūlān,[3] is a city in, and the capital of, Silakhor District of Dorud County, Lorestan province, Iran.[4] It also serves as the administrative center for Chalanchulan Rural District.[5]

At the 2006 census, its population was 1,094 in 277 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 1,478 people in 390 households.[7] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,223 people in 609 households.[2]
