Users: Check that the person you're contacting has been recently active (check their Contributions for recent editing). Be sure to make requests by email (you must be logged in with your own account, and have entered your email address in your Preferences; you'll then see an "Email this user" link in the toolbox on the left when you visit a person's user page). Then draw the person's attention to the request by placing the {{You've got mail}} template on their user talk page, or else your own message (stating no more than that you have sent an email - provide no details or links, and do not mention RevisionDelete).
- Can't find any currently logged in administrators in this category? Any administrator should be able to fulfil your request; try Enterprisey's "recently active admins" tool or Wikipedia:List of administrators/Active (be extra sure to check for recent activity). Alternatively, if the edit is not too sensitive go to WP:ANI, or if it is sensitive (especially in respect of living persons), you can contact the Oversight team.
- There is also an IRC channel, if you prefer that: #wikipedia-en-revdel ^connect. This option is usually quick if an administrator is online, and only administrators will be able to see your request.
